2020. 12. 02. For foreign nationals arrested in Hungary

The SASLA Non-Governmental Organization  provides reintegration opportunities for foreign detainees in pre-trial detention in Hungary, where detainees can choose properties with different facilities and locations according to their needs. It is possible to reunite families, have unlimited personal contact, or even discuss individual needs for staff and services. All detainees in pre-trial detention are placed under the constant supervision of the police. Reintegration detention by the authorities does not constitute a gross presence in the private and family spheres and is only used to monitor the detainee's law-abiding behavior. In this way, with the given restrictions, a completely normal family life can be pursued, which can effectively reduce the indirect prison injuries suffered by the detainee's children. Prior to the sentencing, all defendants have the presumption of innocence. It is important to highlight the right to a fair trial as a fundamental right for persons subject to proceedings and the new rules to ensure the presumption of innocence:

The new common rules will guarantee that police and judicial authorities respect the rights of citizens affected by criminal proceedings. As part of the reintegration, there is also an opportunity for the detained persons to work actively, who can take an active part in the restoration of the traditional folk architectural values  and in the preservation of monumental buildings.
